Traditional Heiwa rituals are performed in silence, allowing you to fully disconnect from outside distractions and settle into a deeper state of relaxation. We honor this tradition throughout your service and encourage you to use this time to simply rest, unwind, and be present.
To preserve the peaceful environment, please refrain from bringing additional guests, including children, to your appointment. The only exception is when an adult parent or guardian is accompanying a minor receiving a service.
Heiwa Head Spa can accommodate one guest at a time using our state-of-the-art, luxury head spa table.
Yes, however it is important to consider the timing of your appointment in relation to your next color service. The cleansing and exfoliating processes may cause color to fade. Guests with colored hair and those with stubborn gray coverage may notice some fading. A head spa should not be scheduled immediately after a color appointment.
Yes, and it is encouraged. Your spa experience will promote detoxification and improved circulation for your scalp to help minimize shedding. Targeted scalp treatment will help remove product build up, decrease inflammation, and strengthen damaged hair.
Yes, our head spa services are intended for all hair textures. Please note that some tangling may occur during scalp services. Additional time may be necessary for very curly or coiled hair to allow adequate time for product application and treatment. Our staff will take utmost care in the handling and protection of your hair, but are not responsible for breakage arising from standard spa procedures.
Our services are not advised for those with hair extensions. The water and treatment products may cause slippage. We recommend scheduling your head spa appointment following the removal of your hair extensions to promote scalp recovery.
Please arrive in comfortable clothing, preferably free of jewelry. There is no need to wash your hair the day of the appointment. We will provide you with a warmed body wrap to wear during your service. We reserve the right to decline clients with scalp infections or injuries.
We use trichologist-developed and science backed Act and Acre products. Act and Acre uses responsibly derived, plant-based ingredients in their formulas. Products used in each spa treatment are selected with intention, and aligned with the unique needs of each client. If you exhibit sensitivity to any beauty care ingredients, please review the ingredients listed on their website actandacre.com
That depends on your individual needs. Your head spa can be scheduled every 4-5 weeks for general maintenance. We recommend every 2 weeks for an oily scalp, dandruff or flaking, and every 5-6 weeks for a dry or sensitive scalp.
Yes, with a parent or guardian present and with completion of a signed service consent form.
Out of an abundance of caution, we do not recommend head spas during pregnancy due to the need to lie on your back during the service. Lying supine is not advised for long periods during pregnancy. We welcome the opportunity to be part of your postpartum wellness routine.
We use clean, plant-based products that are not known to impact prescription medications. However, we recommend consulting with your physician if you have sensitivities or concerns.
